Sidharth Babu asked: Is it true that India’s former National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon has stated with respect to Teesta water that Dalia in Bangladesh receives 100 per cent of the flow at Gajoldoba in practice?

Anand Kumar replies: In a report entitled, “India’s Role in the World: A Conversation with Shivshankar Menon”, published by The Brookings Institution, Washington, D.C., on October 07, 2014, former National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon is quoted as having stated, “Today, Bangladesh is getting 100 percent of what goes past Gajoldoba at Dalia, including all the recharge and whatever, so in actual practice, Bangladesh is actually doing better than the agreement would have given her if you look at the practice.” Posted on December 09, 2015
