Sumita Kumar replies: Kulbhushan Jadhav was awarded a death sentence by a Pakistan Military Court on April 10, 2017. On May 18, 2017, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued a stay order on the execution of the death sentence given by the Pakistan Military Court. The proceedings in the ICJ are still going on with regard to India’s request for consular access to Jadhav. India filed its reply to Pakistan’s submissions to the Court on April 17, 2018.
