India Arc in Moon’s Southern Policy

Research Fellow, IDSA, Dr Jagannath Panda’s article on South Korean President Moon Jae-In’s visit to India, titled ‘India arc in Moon’s southern policy’ has been published in ‘The Pioneer’ on July 08, 2018.

Seoul may have shown restrain in openly endorsing the concept ‘Indo-Pacific’ as it has been carefully treading its foreign policy between China-led and US-led regional environments, writes Dr Panda. This has, however, not discouraged the Moon administration from positioning South Korean interests more intently in the Indo-Pacific region. South Korean President’s three-day visit to India from July 08 rationalises the ‘newness’ of his new southern policy, he adds.
