Director General Manohar Parrikar IDSA, Amb. Sujan R. Chinoy’s OP-Ed piece on Corporatisation of OFB Ordnance factories, titled ‘Lean, Mean Fighting Factory’, has been published in ‘The Economic Times’, on August 08, 2020.
In its present form, OFB has scant autonomy in administrative, financial or other decision making matters. Once unshackled through corporatization, it will be free from government mandated price control mechanism. It will create room for talented professionals of OFB to strive for higher standards, technological innovation, price competiveness of products and adherence to strict delivery schedules.
